First, I would like to thank . Donna, Eilene, Lauren, and Becky for their offers of help and words of encouragement. And a big thank you to Helen at Threadbear Fiber Arts, who fielded my call and give me good advice. There are more photos in the Gallery 2005. I am not sure if this is a technique or not, but this is what I did. I took a loop from the top on one side and then pulled my yarn through the loop on the bottom one. Then staying on the same side I hooked the top loop on that side and then took the lower loop on the other side. I just went back and forth like that and I think it turned out quite well. Anyone with any advice, please give it. I am still learning and savour all of the help I receive.
I am going to make another throw for a certain someone. This is the yarn I am going to use. Isn't it pretty? More Lorna's Laces--Can't wait to get started knitting. The names of the colorway are "Happy Valley," "Sunshine," "Powder Blue," and "Pale Pink." Love it!
On other knitting news, I have the back of the Blue Heron knit, so I'm just beginning the front. I think it will fit much better--glad I decided to rip out.
Look what I found. This book translates knitting terms into several different languages. When I was in Rome recently, this would have come in handy, and I am taking it with me to Lyon in October--maybe I'll even try to translate a pattern . . . if I muster up the courage. Have a good week.
