Have you ever begun a project you thought was for yourself and then realized that you were knitting it for someone else? Well, this is what I did. Look how cute the Bolero looks on son D's girlfriend. Does my son have good taste in women or what? I knew I was knitting this for someone. I just did not know who when I began it. I also finished Bobbie, Rowan 35 in Quietude. Being so proud of myself led to taking a picture before blocking. This can look better but I wanted to get it in a posting.
Since I have made a promise that has been hard to keep--that promise being to finish my projects and knit from my stash--I decided to run my own Knitting Olympics of finishing all of my unfinished projects by the end of the Olympics--wish me luck--it is
truly a challenge. The first on the docket is Dianna which was put aside for other more pressing projects. My advice to anyone reading this is: do NOT put aside projects that have complicated directions because finding one's place in the directions is TOUGH--despite my writing "start here" which was not the place to start. However, the Opening Ceremony has taken place and I am going to finish the first event!
Hooray! The bolero does fit the girlfriend quite nicely -- good call! And the pink one looks fabulous on you. On to Dianna!
